the initial price of pc is more expensive, but it will do a lot more and last a lot longer than a console.

if you're not happy with performance, you can change the settings or upgrade, pc is flexible.

 

I will pay a premium for a good vr experience, i feel sorry the consoleros out there.

But they forget, the PC does a lot more. My PC now has a running total of 1,500. But it games, works, youtubes, porns, edits, photos and everything else. 

 

My console is really just for NHL 14, Halo 4 and Forza. Only because I have friends to make it fun all the time. 

 

Two very, very different mentalities in use. Most people don't get that.

Must admit, During the craze of BC,... I bought my 290 @ $579 in Australia, just before they dropped again to $529-$539

My mums mates are all older guys and don't know how to use PC's, so naturally, their console users (Racing titles mainly and Halo MP, but one of them does own a PS4 & BF4)

 

I had my PC hooked up to my 1080p 55" TV in the lounge, and they were visiting unannounced this one night, I happened to be playing BF4, as well as NFS Rivals, Titanfall, just sorta showcasing the games I play on the TV.

 

Many Wows, Such Awesome... 70-120+FPS in most of my titles if not FPS limited.

Then I told them how much I payed for my GPU and watched their Jaws hit the floor. They said PC Gaming was too expensive.

Brought out my brothers HD7950 machine (stock clocks) and played the same games at the same settings (maxed) and was getting lower fps, but more than 50fps in each title that was not FPS limited itself.

Told them he got his for $320 over 12 months ago, and that the card I had previous to MY 7950HD, the 5850 OC'd doing 1080p/60fps on Medium-High settings and that card has cost me $80 second hand...

 

So NO, its not expensive UNTIL you want it to be... Having an i3/6300 and a 5850 overclocked @ near 7850 levels of performance isn't too expensive.

Built one of these guys a machine (6300 + HD7950) and all up (inc W7) came to about $1090 (at the time), which I built with a $100 fee.

He only really plays Warthunder and F2P games, but he told me he has NOT touched his consoles since having the PC unless the guys pretty much force him to, he loves PC gaming that much.

 

Trying to open his eyes to the possibilities as he knows nothing of the potential of the PC, but the experience so far, I doubt he's gunna go back to a console now...
