it has been pointed out that the N300 is just the NAS drive in the same lineup as the X300 released in 2018....... just fyi

It's newer, the same price, and the same basic specs. A lot can happen in a few years, and the X300 was released in 2015.

They did a refresh of the lineup in 2018.

 

 

So while the x300 may trace its origin back to 2015, actuall release of current version appears to be from 2018. This launch also introducing a colour scheme.
