My first ever PC Pro Build.

I'd go for a 650W Corsair before an 850W Enermax any day of the week.

The RMS and D.F Revos are built by the same company (Channel Well Technology)
Very simillar PSUS, just the D.FS are cheaper

geometry is hard

Yeah but then you gotta deal with those loud, cheap Enermax fans 😬

Whereas with Corsair you get what looks to be an NR140P.

Would yall think this is more better? I did switch out the case to a NZXT, as I like their cases better. I also went with the stock cooler, as someone said it will be fine.

The H510 has poor thermals due to the front panel. The old 212 evo has a crappy mounting system and is pretty overpriced for what you get.

Much better ssd, cooler and higher wattage PSU.

Corsair for one, doesn't have this issue

Even the head of PSU R&D at Corsair completely disagrees with you

You're completely wrong about wattage, fans and your complete ignorance by not even showing the right fan for the revo df, as it's using an Enermax ED142512M-FA-1 makes you only look less credible. If you're helping someone, at least look at 5 seconds of googling, where users have reported issues, where people like Aris and Igorslab have done testing and so on... It's not poor rail design, it's Nvidia going completely out of spec

How? This is based off of testing, not assumption.

I couldn't find the exact fan, I was looking at all of Enermax's PSU fans, sorry if I couldn't find it. That doesn't make me ignorant. Don't pick fights.

7 hours ago, LukeSavenije said:

We've all done testing, and we all have differed results. You can't generalize all Power Supplies into that one category of ones with issues. Users are only valid in rare cases, it's like having an eye-witness in court, it doesn't hold up every time and is not always enough to conclude.

7 hours ago, LukeSavenije said:

This is simply wrong. It's NVIDIA's recommendation, not their spec. They can run fine on anything within reason.

And yes, it is about poor rail design, the whole point of overcurrent protection triggering is when your power rails are overloaded (which doesn't happen so easily on every PSU).

@LukeSavenijeand you @Herman Mcpootisboth really need to reconsider you stance on the matter. Starting fights and/or taking sides on the forum is not a good way to deal with this situation. Might I remind you, this thread was already closed when you two showed up. The OP already settled on their specs, and set off on their build.

You guys appeared out of nowhere, started disagreeing and re-spec'ing the OP's build when they had already decided. Take a chill pill, and go argue with someone less knowledgeable who won't come back with facts. This can go on forever.

Just a question.

On a PSU quality basis:

RM650x or Revolution D.F 850w?

Both are good in their own respects, I just don't like Enermax's fans.

Like was said earlier, they're built by the same company.

they are good in pretty much the same respects.

both closely related to the CWT GPU design.

the RMx being a modified design for corsair, and the Rev DF being a Multirail CWT GPU design made for Bitfenix, which later got adopted by a few other including Enermax.

so really, the Enermax Rev DF is just kinda better. Regardless if you dont like the fans or not its not loud, and its fairly compact.
