Samsung Odyssey G7 + 6900XT stuck at 144Hz

plato.manchi

Edit/Update: In a bizarre turn of events its fixed. I did multiple things at a time so not sure which one fixed it but updated radeon from 21.4 to 21.5.1 and while restarting instead of just restarting I switched off entire power from power socket and switched it on, disconnected the DP cable from GPU and connected it back. When system boot up to install 21.5.1 and installed the new driver, monitor went back to 240Hz.

Hey everyone,

I used to have 1080Ti before and the monitor ran at 240Hz so I know its not the quality of my display port cable.

I recently realized that after changing the GPU from 1080Ti to 6800XT monitor is stuck at 144Hz.

Strangely on the monitor OSD it shows 240Hz but greyed out. But windows, amd drivers and UFO test everything shows monitor is at 144Hz.

These are the settings in Radeon drivers.

I did use DDU to uninstall Nvidia drivers before installing AMD drivers.

As usual, radeon software is a real piece of work. Glad you resolved your problem!

I've the same problem.
Switched from a perfectly fine 3070 to a 6900xt, 30 minutes ago, i wanted to give credits to AMD, but the display is completely streched i leave to 240hz windows display settings. I'm on the latest display firmware and latest adrenaline 21.6.1 ?
