Games can change the speed of your cursor. They usually have options for that in whatever Control menu there is.

But it shouldn't change the windows setting itself, though.

Is it reverting back to default?

Are you on a laptop or a desktop? This is important because if you're on a laptop, it's possible that you're touching something with the palm of your hand on the touchpad that changes the setting for some reason. Likely related to the Synaptic driver. If it is a laptop, you could try the following

Spoiler

3. Use Registry Editor

If you have Synaptics drivers, this solution will surely work for you as it worked for many users.

  1. Open Registry Editor. To do that, type regedit in the Windows search box and hit Enter.
  2. In the Registry Editor navigate to
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install
  3. You will find a key called DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade. Double-click it and change it’s value to 0.
  4. Close the Registry Editor and go to mouse setting and change them how you see fit.
  5. Restart your computer.

Modifying registry keys can be a bit complicated and can cause problems, so be sure to only change the keys as stated in the guide.

What do you mean with "is it reverting back to default?" some times, it seems to maybe be happening when I enter a League match, the mouse sensivity goes back to half of it, when I have it at the max all the time, and what does what you putted in the hidden content do?

"Default" means

Right in the middle, where it would be by default, without you changing it manually.

The thing I put in the "Spoiler", fixes Synaptic, to make sure it doesn't screw with the cursor's speed in Windows 10. It is a common issue. But this is only a thing that works if you have a laptop with a touchpad. You can Right click the Registry folder and click "Export" to save your settings beforehand and if you find it changed it for the worst, you revert it just as easily.

What does the mouse model have to do with this if I said that what is being changed is the Windows mouse sensivity setting?

The mouse model could be important, if it has a button on it that changes the DPI and you're accidently pressing it. Like most modern "gaming" mice. I have a "sniper" button right where my thumb is resting on my mouse, which cuts my mouse's speed to 1/10 its normal speed. Could easily be pressed in the heat of gaming.

So you really do have a laptop, meaning it likely is a Synaptic issue with Windows 10.

Alternatively. Unplug mouse, reboot laptop, plug mouse back in. See if it happens again.

Is it? you said it should be a touchpad problem only if I touch the touchpad by accident

Just the fact you have the driver installed can cause the issue, too. Welcome to the wonderful of computers.

I don't want to get things screwed up by editing the registry but I'll have to do it then anyway

It's one key.

Just take note of the previous value of the key you're changing and if it didn't do anything after rebooting and the issue still persist, just revert it back to what it was before.

Hello, today some minutes ago, I've notice that my mouse sensivity or speed(the windows setting) changes itself, it seems to happen every time I launch a match of League of Legends, any idea on what could be happening?

thank you in advance

I have Windows 10

Yeah I have this problem as well it changes the windows mouse setting right? So at least to fix this is to go into the windows settings and go to additional mouse options. go to the pointer options and keep the application open. That way, when you go into a game it will not be able to change your windows mouse sensitivity and keep it the same. Hope this helps
