If I buy a amp do I need to buy a dac?

I'm a new audiophile and am looking to buy the Hifiman Sundar headphones and iFi Audio Zen CAN amp. Would I also have to buy a dac? Thanks.

Yes, you need to buy a DAC since iFi audio zen can amp is only amplifier on it's own, unless you only wants to amplify the output coming from your computer audio jack, DAC is not. Necessary...

not necessarily. I highly reccomend you do get an amp but its not needed you already probably have gear cathat can work as a DAc like a phone dongle or a motherboard. but a nice DAc like a zen DAC  would be nice in guaranteeing a great listening experience
