This is my planned build, but as this is my first build, I would like a couple people to check it. I think it all should theoretically should work, but I may be wrong, and it might not work in the real world.

I have attached a web page file (used to be excel, but had to switch format as this site wouldn't let me upload it normally) with everything on it, and it does have a little bit more than this document. This computer has a focus on gaming, but will also be used a lot for movies and school work. I have a number of things that I would really appreciate some people looking at:

-Computer Monitors, as I know very little about them and which is best for gaming and movies

-Pricing, as there might be cheaper places than Amazon and Newegg to buy from, I am trying to stay around $2k, if not a little less

-Possible Bottlenecks, I think all these products are a high enough quality where they don't hold each other back, but I could be wrong

Also, if you live in the Seattle-Tacoma, Washington, area, could you possibly direct me to a place that can good quality water loops without costing me an arm and a leg.

Questions from me:

I believe that the Asus Black 12X BD-ROM 16X works exactly like a normal cd drive, where it can play normal dvds, can install programs from a disk, and can also play CD's. Is this true?   Answered

Is it possible to delete posts on this forum?

I need to correct my battery wattage, as I have new numbers on how much I am supposed to have. For the numbers that come out of here, does that mean that I should buy a bronze certified battery with that wattage, or should I have almost a plat with that voltage?

Nothing will bottleneck but I've noticed there isn't a case. Also do you really need that motherboard. It seems like a really crazy high end build to burn money more than anything.

Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.2 Ghz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram @ 1600 Mhz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, Corsair GS700 2013 edition PSU, MSI GTX 770 Lightning, Samsung EVO 120 SSD + 2TB&1TB Seagate Barracudas, BenQ XL2411T Monitor, Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones + AntLion ModMic 4.0

If you want to see if there is cheaper prices somewhere else, you should look at pcpartpicker.com. For monitors, I recommend the the Qnix QX2710 if you are on a budget. You wouldn't have a significant bottleneck on your system. Yes, the blu ray drive does everything that a normal dvd drive does.

i would recommend going with a cheaper case (NZXT Phantom 410/530 or Corsair 450D) also a Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H motherboard, but that is a personal preference.

For the parts choice that motherboard is an acceptable choice. No other components suffers for choosing it, and it's one of the few ROG boards that aren't filled with useless crap and marked up to ridiculous prices.

Error: 410

I really like ROG products, and this is the one that I would use the most out of, such as the fact that this only has 2 x16 gpu slots, as I'm never going to go 3 or 4 way SLI

I'll start this one with, thank you for answering my question, really helpful. I did not know about pcpartpicker.com, and this is why I'm glad I asked. I'll keep the monitor choice in mind.

I would switch cases, but because of how wide the cpu water cooler is, I'm not entirely sure that it would fit inside the case. On the site, it doesn't say that the cooler fits in the Corsair 450D

Glad someone can say I made a wise choice on my ROG board choice :)

thats a beautiful tower, can anyone confirm that this would work with my radiator? It says nothing about it on the site for compatibility

There is a 280mm mounting spot and it's a corsair case so it would be pretty stupid if it didn't work

the h105 series doesn't fit in it, and that one is 4cm smaller in length than the h110 :/

however, according to the specifications, it should actually work

edit: found a site saying that it does work, but to be sure, I also sent a message to corsair's support

And if it didn't work you could probably make it work with slight mod. (Just new holes)

edited first post to include the new tower

guys, i still need multiple suggestions for gaming monitors, ones that take full advantage of the gtx 780ti gpu

To take full advantage of a 780Ti it will need to be a monitor with G-sync :3 So look out for one

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log

yes you are correct. (unless one pop out somewhere I dont know) but like I said, it need to have G-sync to take the full advantage of a 780Ti, Else just any Full HD or more monitor with 120Hz refresh rate that suit your taste.

Okay, so I was trying to see about how big my PSU should be so I went to cooler master's battery site, it said about 750, but it did not account for my CPU rad, so I went to extreme's site, and now it says I need a 811 PSU, and still haven't found where I am supposed to put my rad. I could use some help :/
