Asus g73jw subwoofer problem ubuntu help please

install pulse audio volume control

it's pavucontrol in synaptic

 

open it, under the configuration tab, in the built-in audio profile, you should be able to select analog 2.1 + analog stereo input

i have a asus g73jw and im running ubuntu 13.04 and for some reason the subwoofer in the laptop dont work, in windows 7 there is no problem with the sound but as soon as i boot into ubuntu thats it no sound comes out of the subwoofer, its just a very tinny crappy sound.

 

if anyone out there can please help me ill love u long time...
