All PCs have a bottleneck, however your PC looks pretty balanced to me.

If you do that please tag me in the post, I'll be... more then interested :^)

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

I honestly probably won't, the only PSU I have large enough is in my main desktop, and the 3080 itself is rather painfully large and heavy.  It'd be a big chore to pull it out, power it, and all that just for laughs, then reassemble my desktop PC.  The 1080 I have in another machine would be a fair bit easier.

Looks pretty balanced to me

If you're not getting the performance you're looking for, I can help you determine which part is limiting you and thus needs an upgrade

the question is "why do you THINK you have a bottleneck?"

Is there something happening that you're not satisfied with?

im thinking on doing an upgrade. so which part should need an upgrade the most?

ohh and one more thing, my monitor is just a samsung 27 inch curved monitor 60hz. Should i change it first to 144hz because sometimes my screen shows some tearing specially on COD warzone.

whatever that is limiting you from what you want to do

it's a very generic answer but it's true, because i don't know how you use your PC lol

yea it's a sensible upgrade, 60hz to 144hz is a nice step up

though 2060 might have trouble pushing 100fps in some AAA titles on high graphical settings in 1080p144, but majority of them should do just fine

your i5 8400 also lacks some threads for stable frametime, but i wouldnt upgrade it until you feel like you need to as it should still be good for 100fps in modern games

ohh  i see, if not upgrade im also thinking on changing from intel to AMD but that would mean i need to change motherboard. Basically i just wanted a little bit of FPS and less lag with normal game settings. I understand that playing a game on its highest setting that has the most minimal lag and a stable FPS would mean having a very expensive build. I just want to spend my money wisely that is why im thinking on upgrading just a few parts that really needs a buff.

Thanks

at this moment given your config, there's no good reason to

in that case, only upgrade when you're unhappy with the performance, dont upgrade just for the sake of it

A 144hz monitor would do a lot of good. What motherboard do you have?

it's a software that allows you to monitor CPU and GPU usage

whichever usage is near 100%, that's your limiting factor and u may upgrade that

CPU Usage is individual core, not overall usage (you should see 6 graphs)

alternatively you may press ctrl+shift+esc to bring up task manager

click on more details and go to performance tab

right click on cpu graph and change to logical processor

image.png.62ffad6acbd1e6e79cfd7e13b5439c04.png

and then see individual core usage, see if any is super high when you're gaming

GPU usage isnt too accurate in task manager so i wouldnt trust too much on that

but if your CPU usage is high, then it's probably the limiting factor
