New build

Hello again, do you think I should go for a 3060 or a 3060 Ti. Most intensive game will be MSFS 2020 and will be on a 1080p 75Hz monitor. £80 difference.

From what I have seen the 3060ti is around 10fps faster than the 3060. (This is not the case everywhere)

For a 75hz 1080p montior save some money and go with the 3060.

(This is just my opinion)

Lmao.

Anyways, for 1080P 75hz a 3060 ti is pretty unnecessary. A 3060 should be fine

How about a 2060 or is that too far of a step down? £112 difference.

That's absolutely meaningless. You can't measure the difference in just a blanket FPS number. It would depend on the game, the resolution, the quality settings, even what CPU and RAM it's paired with, etc.

Still that is not how it works. You can say it is overal x percent fast but fps no. Fps is not a fixed performance metric.

Still meaningless. You can't use FPS as a measurement unless it's like for like across the board, including game, settings, CPU, RAM, even Windows and driver versions. Heck even things like mobo or PSU can make a difference when you start looking at consistent power delivery. Even the same CPU model could perform differently. I mean the variables are legion. This is exactly why YouTube videos claiming some FPS or another in Warzone or CS:GO or whatever are such garbage.

And? I could say I get 10,000FPS on my rig, but that's "not the case everywhere". It's a 100% meaningless statement.

An i5-10400F

The 10400f is easy to cool and the stock cooler should be fine with decent system airflow. A better cooler can allow for lower noise but it probably wouldn't make any difference in performance.

11 hours ago, BingBong71 said:

Would CFM be a better metric?

Listed CFM is the effective airflow of a fan without restriction. The effective CFM on a cooler is often much less and the effective CFM alone doesn't determine cooling performance. The heatsink design arguably plays a larger role.

None,

A 360mm radiator on the 11400F doesn't make any sense.

As for the 10600KF - The NH-D15s with a NF-F12 added to it will be cheaper and better.

The 3060 is roughly 25% slower on average than the 3060 Ti. However, even the 3060 is more than capable of pushing 1080p75 in MSFS 2020 - it's pretty much on par with a 2070 Super across the board. The lowest I'd recommend going is a 2060, but to answer your question, a 3060 Ti is overkill enough that it could probably push 1440p75 safely.

11400F with Hyper 212 is enough.

11600KF with Scythe Fuma 2 is the best.

Can you buy the  Scythe Fuma 2 or the NH-D15s from Aria PC?

I don't recommend the 212 Black Edition for the 10600KF.

6700XT is about 10% faster, but costs about 20% more than the 3060 Ti.

The 6700XT is worse value, but has better performance.

i think the 6700XT must be performance-wise since its msrp is a full $80 higher, but if you're looking for a 3060ti you should pick up a lottery ticket to go with it... if you have a microcenter nearby, they have some PowerColor 6700XT's around $850 available roughly once a week, but i've never seen a 3060ti at any price and i've been looking since february.

In this market, you don't really have the freedom to choose. It's a "buy what you can" situation

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Luckily, we still have the freedom to choose to exercise patience. 🙂

I wouldn't recommend anyone go out and buy based on what is or isn't available.

It also depends on what you want, some more raytracing performance and DLSS that we don't really know too much for when it comes to AMD cards or what cards?

If you want DLSS that works in some games, and raytracing then 3060 TI is worth more, if for general performance then the 6000xt series might be better.

If you can get it for a decent price and find it at all.
