Need help choosing motherboard

I may be buying a new motherboard in a few weeks (wanna upgrade CPU but need new motherboard, already know what CPU im getting). I have along list of motherboards and IDK what to get. I have it in a range of prices, i would prefer cheaper but bang for the buck is overall most important. If you have any other suggestions thank you.

Thank you for your help 🙂

If you want over clocking potential then get the X series 400 or 500 series of boards. If you just want a regular board get any B series board you want and you’ll be good.

Ryzen 7 5800x. Im just trying to not go too high. I was thinking of doing the x570 because since i was doing the Ryzen 7 but i heard the x series were a waste of money.

i mean.. they are almost the same price.. so, i would recommend you to stick with the x570 board..

and if we stop considering about the price ( even though its almost the same ), a mobo with a x570 chipset and a r7 5800x would be a great combination!

and you can have some more overclocking potential with that chipset, since you are going to buy a 5800x, the x570 is the best for you..

to be honest.. i would really not recommend a b550 for a cpu above 5600X..

and if this helped you, marking my post as the solution will help me a lot! Thank You!

Disagree. The only real difference between X570 and B550 is the IO and the extra Gen4 drive.

A 5950x can run well on any decent B550, I almost never recommend X570 because it's not needed.

if you can afford a 5800x, why not buy a gen4 drive.. why not buy a x570 over a b550 when they are the same price?

First of all, B550 has GEN4. It only has one Gen4 drive but you really dont need more, most people dont even need NVME so 1 is more than enough...

Also boards like the B550 tomahawk and B550-A-PRO are $40 and $70 less than cheap X570 boards, with much better quality VRMS, not to mention it has much better aesthetics.

b550 > x570
