I have an oddly large head that a lot of headsets, including Astro A50, G Pro X, a couple headsets from razer, are not comfortable for me. I have been using the bose qc35 for years and it’s the only one that works for me. I am looking for a headset that is great for both gaming and some music/movie. One of my friends recommended bayer dynamics MMX300 but I know absolutely nothing about this brand. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Beyerdynamic MMX300 is a very good headset if you absolutely need an attached boom mic and don't care about features like noise cancelling. Beyerdynamic is a German brand where everything is handmade in Germany. Very high quality and i've been using exclusively their headphones for the last 5 years or so. Also their warranty service is more than excellent from my experience. They're very well known and popular in the music enthusiast and professional community.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Do you recommend any other headset from Beyerdynamic? I’ve watched some reviews and it seems like the MMX300 is not the best in terms of size adjustment.

Afaik the MMX300 is the only "headset" they make. They mostly sell headpones. So you'd have to get an external microphone. But with a large head i'd recommend the DT990 "Edition" series because they have very low clamping force, allowing for a more comfortable fit, even if they're not that adjustable.

Yep, Beyerdynamic is one of a kind brand. They know very well how to headphone, ranging in iems, ANC, studio, home use, portable and more.

Even their gaming headphones/headsets doesn't look like spaceship themed bullshit like most others are and riddle with RGB crap.

Beyerdynamic is also know very good comfort and me and Stahlmann can vouche for that.

I've never had the MX300 so can't tell for sure. What is your budget btw? Team Tygr might be a good solution too but maybe a bit expensive.

You are getting an external mic anyway so perhaps, better than intern mic?

I highly recommend Steelseries headsets if you can afford them. Good sound quality, SUPER comfortable, i can wear them for 10+ hours with no problems.

Thanks a lot for sharing this information and sorry I didn’t check this forum for the last couple of days. I’m looking a headphone anything from $250 to $450, a pretty wide range as long as the headphone is actually worth the money. I do have an external mic. My first priority when selecting headphones is comfort, sound, and then make quality. ANC and other features would be nice things to have but it wouldn’t too bad if it doesn’t have them.
