If I want to get a 1TB m.2 (Gen3), is £100/US$140 too cheap & should I spend more?

More specifically; should any of these be trusted more than others?

I would have preferred a Samsung drive, but  - dunno why - something tells me that Magician is only for cloning TO a Samsung drive, not FROM one; currently using an 850EVO 500GB 2½ unit.

Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

Honesfly most of those nvme drives are fine. Honestly for most things nvme ssds are sorta overkill but I guess they are nice to have anyways.

I bought a 500GB 970EVO Plus as an upgrade, but that's ended up in my wife's "upgrade" so I'm down an upgrade for mine; I thought "why not 1TB instead of 500GB?" but wanna keep the budget down a bit.

That ADATA has alarm bells all over it, after the strokes they've pulled recently on some of their drives, but the WD one is looking the most favourable... the Crucial drives confuse me as to "why so many at the same price point?".

Well it depends on how you gonna use it. I say 500gb is ideal if you can manage the files outside the ssd.

having a better ssd is good in theory, in practice i can't feel the difference.

It'll replace an aging 2½" unit, basically, for boot duties.... and lose a S-ATA cable while I'm at it.

EDIT:
I DO know there's a drive tier list, but I see those as more practical for those that have more/relative freedom of budget than I do.
