Hi all am new to this form and have a questions that may help me decide on what am after as am looking to upgrade my lga1115 i5-3470 cpu to something that can match my rx580 4gb gpu as I play and steam midline games like f76, vrchat, and valheim and maybe eso:online I did have some ppl say that the i7-3770 is a good match for it but am just not sure. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

My current pcsetup is

I5-3470 cpu

Rx580 4gb

1tb ssdhd

250gb HD

16gb ram

IMO i think it is kinda pointless to upgrade to such an old CPU. I think with either CPU you are severely bottlenecking your system. I would suggest looking into upgrading to maybe a ryzen 5 5600x if you can get your hands on it. Or if you are wanting something cheaper overall go with a 10th gen intel or 9th gen! GL!

True I am bottlenecking the pc but it will take me some time to upgrade to a proper gaming/streaming pc but I will keep your idea in mind tho as I think it maybe worth switching it full amd instead of halfand half. But thank you for your comment it will help me out

The i5 should be fine with your RX580.

You should not upgrade in my opinion.

True its okay for now but it need more stability and bit more power for when am streaming and gaming mid-high lvl graphics settings like f76 and vr chat
