Speedfan says CPU is at 128 degrees Celsius,

Why? Is it true?

Common known problem, happens in CPU-Z as well. It's not actually checking your CPU, but rather the Socket, and it doesn't check the sensor right.

 

Happens a lot. Always finds the temp to be 128 C. :)

May I suggest to use real temp for temperatures.

A 4770K can't run at 128°. It shuts off at 102°. Speedfan is just outdated, not supporting the latest cpu's. Use coretemp/realtemp instead.

I saw your specs and it must be a bad sensor, you do not have it running that hot or your system would melt before you got to launch speedfan.

You could also try another program like HWMonitor or CPU-Z.

I tried CPU-Z and it read same, I will try HWMonitor.
