1070 is great for 1080p & 1440p gaming.  $250 is a fair price.  1660ti is it's current equivalent (but 1070 has more vram) and no way in hell would you find one for $250.

Right now is actually a good time to build a PC.  If you want a low - mid range pc, avoid AMD.  Ryzen is a terrible value on the sub $300 chip market.

RAM is also dirt cheap.  I didn't need 32gb but I went ahead with it to fill up my banks.  About 2 years ago 16gb of ram would cost you $200.  About a week ago I bought a total of 32gb sticks for about $150.

M.2 and ssds are also priced decently.  Platter drives are also the cheapest I've seen them.

The power supply market is also back on track.  There was a shortage last year but supply has caught up.

If you can build yourself a good 6 or 8 core gaming PC you're pretty much good for the next 5 years.

probably the worst possible time to build a pc. No Gpus at stock. power supplies are more expensive than year ago.

you can find a gt710 under 100usd but that is about it.

no. Check the gpu prices. cheapest new gpu is likely 100$ gt710.

You conveniently omitted the part where I said other components were priced decently and that the OP already found a gpu that was priced nicely.

Did my comment about AMD being a terrible choice for low to mid range cpus offend you?

I can't do anything about that.

no because i agree.

I just do not agree with the fact that you say that now is good time to build a pc when everyone else says otherwise.

Ram etc are priced as they were a year ago.

Again you failed to read the part when I said "about 2 years ago".  You keep ignoring or taking what I said out of context.  What's your problem?  I didn't urinate in your coffee cup.

alright you are acting like a 10 year old. Thought we were all adults here? Do not get mad when I correct your wrongs.

It seems like you missed the point that now is very bad time to build a pc. So bad in fact that people are buying prebuilts.

It's only a bad time to buy a gpu.

The OP already said he found a gpu at a fair price.

The rest of the component pricing is good at the moment.

In that context is what I told the OP about being a good time to build a PC.

Is that clear enough for you?  Are you on your menstrual cycle today?  Good God.
