*sigh* this is er, slightly painful to look at. Will it look nice? Yes. Are you wasting a ton of money? Also yes. Can you give more insight to why you want to purhcase things such as the h100i, z590-a, 32gb of rgb ram, a 980 pro, the 500x, ect. ect?

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

True, I think they were going for the all white aesthetic and were willing to pay anything for it.

https://www.nzxt.com/products/n7-z490-matte-white

This motherboard is a good bit cheaper and removes the need for a $50 wifi card since it has wifi 6 built in if white is an absolute must.

Just making sure, the MOUNT-HP04 VESA adapter would be for your current monitor?  The Gigabyte G34WQC already has VESA mounting holes, so no adapter would be needed (and the adapter wouldn't be able to fit that monitor).

For the CPU cooler, the i5-10400 is only rated at 65W, so an expensive water cooler actually won't do much more than the stock Intel cooler.  If you want something white with RGB, how about the Enermax ETS-F40?  It may not be top of the line, but it should look good in your build, you'll likely be able to keep the fan at very low speed for pretty much everything (might hit 700 or 800RPM at the most with a heavy load), and it's $150 less than the water cooler: https://www.newegg.com/enermax-ets-f40-w-argb/p/N82E16835214111

I choose the h100i for aesthetics. I agree z590-a not the best idea. Do you think the z490-a could be a better option or another mobo. 32gb of ram is just overkill for speed. 980 pro for speed and 500x for aesthetics. I have a large budget and am trying to go overkill if you have any suggestion I'm all ears. Thanks.

Thank you but I've heard bad things about the n7 z490 and also not good for overclocking.

Yes the vesa adapter is for my current mounter so I can use it vertically. Thanks for the suggestion but I was looking for an aio for aesthetics and less noise,

The i5 10400 can not overclock to begin with, no matter what motherboard you put it on just an fyi

Honestly z490 is still overkill for the 10400. Maybe look into B560

B560 now has ram ocing, and also if you can get like an extra 100mhz or something on ram its not gonna make a huge difference on intel.

Funny thing about cooling, when you have a lower power processor, a decent air cooler is actually quieter than a water cooler due to the lack of a water pump. 🙂

It does of course change the aesthetics, so if the water cooler look is what you really want, then might as well go for it!

OCing memory on Intel is not going to provide noticeable additional performance in most uses.

Unless one has an immediate use for them, more PCIe lanes just cost more. Again, 2 more usb ports only add to costs unless you actually have devices to plug in.

The Samsung 980 Pro will run at PCIe 3.0 speeds with an i5-10400 installed.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
