My motherboard has a 4-pin ATX power connector, and my psu doesnt have a 4-pin ATX connector. pc part picker says that the connector is used to supply an additional 12V current to the motherboard, and my pc can still run without it. But, things like extreme overclocking or large video card current draws require it. I don't plan on overclocking at all, but my motherboard is the MSI Z490-A PRO ATX LGA1200, and my psu is the Corsair Vengeance 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply. My video card is the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB GAMING OC PRO Video Card.

(also, does my memory type matter on my gpu? they aren't the same)

That 4 pin EPS connector is not needed, except for maybe a 10900K/11900K under a heavy OC.

So more than likely you'll be just fine without it.

You mean like you have a GPU with GDDR6 and a motherboard with DDR4?

That doesn't matter, they'll work together.
