Maybe unusual question but do you guys have any tips for renovating a gaming/work room?

In a month or two i will be moving from my current room cause my son is getting old enough where he needs his own big boy room.

And that lefts me moving to a tiny room which we use as a storage/pantry space.

I need some tips that would help with productivity or cozy feeling while i am inside.

It doesnt have windows,its 110cm wide,and 2meters long(43 inches wide,70 inches long)and has only 1 light source,current colour is white,light coloured woden floor.

Tips like colour of the walls, lightining, decor are needed.

There isnt much options on what i can do,but still any suggestion is welcome.(except some RGB setup where i will feel like in a freaking disco.)

With a room of that size, I'd definitely use a light color on the walls (like white, beige, or a pastel color), as anything too vibrant or dark will make the room seem smaller than it already is.

If you already have the furtniture you are going to use in the room, I'd try to visualize some of the options you have in placing it in the room.

You can do this either by making a 3D model of the room (in a program like Sketchup) or simply you can cut out some pieces of paper to scale, so you can play around with some setups.

Try to make use of 'dead space' as efficiently as possible (dead space would be parts of the room you can't alter, like baseboards, odd spaces in the room, etc.).

I dont have furniture yet,i saw that amazon has some cheap desks that are perfect of that size of the room.

My setup is 24'' monitor, xbox console, laptop, external keyboard and mouse.I dont need any shelves for now, maybe in the future i will put some above my monitor if i even need it.

That tip with paper is actually really nice,il try that for sure, and il check the program maybe i can visualize some colours there aswell.

Room is rectangle shape without any odd placed walls.

How important is the light,i heard some people swear by using lamps near your pc?

I've been in houses that had this whole "Southwestern" design/color scheme. Several of the walls were ugly, nacho cheese colored yellow.

"As I, a humble internet browser who frequents the forum of the well known internet tech YouTuber 'Linus Tech Tips', named after host Linus Sebastian, have trouble understanding the intent of the authors' post, I find solace in the fact, that I am indeed not alone in my confusion. While I stumble through the comments above, I am reminded of a quote which helps me to cut through ambiguous and unnecessary verbiage. The simple eloquence of the phrase often uttered on internet forums leaves any reading it in no doubt as to the true intent of the wording. I believe that I, and indeed all of us can take a lesson from the message left by it:"
