Hey friends! I was just gifted some parts for a PC from an in-law and just wanted some advice on ssd's! I've always wanted to build my own PC but never had the budget to really to start! The components of the PC I got are:

1. MSI Tomahawk b450 max

2. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (stock cooler)

3. Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200 (dual channel 16gb)

4. EVGA geforce GTX970

5. random WiFi card not sure of the brand

6. Corsair cx600 power supply

obviously I still need fans for the PC and I have a case but it's a cheap no name case which I'm fine with

I was just wondering on thoughts of what type of M.2 or Sata SSD to purchase. My budget for for the rest of the components is about  $200, but I'd like to stay lower than that. (As I still need to buy Windows 10) What are some popular SSD's right now?

What would you be doing on the PC and do you have an idea of how much storage you would approximately need?

For most people, a single 1TB drive would be enough for them and I'd go for a good unit like the Kingston A2000.

There is not much need to go for a very expensive unit like the 970 EVO Plus, unless you do something like video editing or 3D modeling for example.

A 1TB A2000 should cost about 100-120 USD and you could always get another 2-4TB HDD if you really need more space than that, or just leave it at that M.2 SSD and in the future get something to add if you need more room.
