PSU fan keeps spinning after shutdown

82LDE

Recently I upgraded my Fractal Design ION+ 560W Platinum to an Fractal Design ION+ 860W Platinum and I noticed when I turn off the system the fans keep spinning for a couple of seconds before completely shutting down. I was wondering if this is normal behavior since my previous PSU never had this issue. The fans keep spinning even when I turn the PSU using he switch on the back. Is this normal behavior? I contacted the customer support of Fractal but am still waiting for an answer.

This is most likely normal for the PSU to cool down before it turns off

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

I did find some information about that. That the fan keeps spinning till the PSU has cooled down before turning off completely. I was not sure since he 560W model never did this.

Well more power leads to more heat seems logical
