Hello i bought a laptop motherboard and I want to know if I can just unplug my main pc's SSD with windows on it and plug it into the laptop (and doing this cycle till I get a new SSD)

Technically yes, but your going to have to reinstall drivers every time you swap, and sooner or later something will go wrong and require a full reinstall. I'd suggest you just leave the SSD in whichever machine you need the most

This isn't hotswap.

Hotswap is when you swap when the PC is on.

Don't swap boot drives. Drivers will clash and you might start seeing bsods.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)
