CPU temps drop in seconds after cinebench. Normal?

Hello,

I have an 10600k overclock to 4.9 ghz cooled with a nuctua nh-d15. When I run cinebench, temps spike up immediately, and when I closed the test, they come back to 30C or so in a matter of seconds. I wonder if I installed the cooler wrong so the heat doesn't transfer to the cooler or does this generation just simply generate this much heat?

Cinebench produces a lot of heat, yes. It's a very intensive workload.

I get that it generates that much heat, but is it normal that the cpu temps drop back to normal in seconds?

Yes. Air coolers don't have much heat soak value, meaning that they can gain and lose a lot of heat in not a lot of time.

Yes. Do not worry about temperatures unless your system is reaching 95+ degrees under load. Rest of it doesn't really matter.

sounds like the cooler is doing its job,and doing it good,i wouldnt be concerned unless the temps went to like 95+ and didnt go down for a while,

The die itself cools fast when there's no current running through it.
