Hello everyone i want some help with an amd system

 Ryzen 5 3600x high idle temps the cpu is locked at 2.1 ghz and fan at 1108 rpm and still 40c when i am doing nothing at all no backgrond app no rgb or anything MB is rog strix b450-e bios 4204 windows v 20h2 what can i do thanks in adv

Seems fine to me, its normal for Zen 2 to idle a bit higher than its alternatives.

40c is normal. infact idle temps do not matter unless they are like over 65C-

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

yes. but why downcloked? Basic tasks are taking longer and are slower because of that-

There is nothing wrong that I can see either. 

 

If you just replaced the cooler and thermal paste make sure that you actually remembered to put thermal past on... and then remember that it will take a little while to "Cure", That's the time that it takes to settle in and kind of cook.

 

If not then make sure you have good air flow and that you don't have dust clogging things.

 

Other than that seriously your temps look fine. What is your CPU usage while at "idle"?

Also and Just FYI, I am running a 3800x liquid cooled on a 420 Radiator... I am sitting at 45c @ 4.5Ghz

 

You are sitting just fine.

dont worry i am a pc builder i know what i am doing but thanks for your help i worked on intel and thy idle as low as 28c that is why i was worried

It should be noted that Intel and AMD derive their CPU Temps differently and AMD seems to always show a bit hotter in my experience.

 

I Build servers for Security systems, We used a lot of intel. So I agree, they do sit lower at idle imho.
