AIO Airflow

Hi everyone, I just upgraded the fans on my Corsair H100i aio for greater performance. They are in a push confirmation at the top of the case like everything was before.

My question however is when I put my hand on the outside of the case to check airflow there is only air coming from the right side of the radiator as if the other side is  blocked.
I was curious is this normal or is this something I need to fix.

 Thank you

I would think if you held up the radiator with a light from the other side, you would be able to see if the fins/passages are blocked.

Since air (or any fluid for that matter) will take the path of least resistance, it will tell you if something is blocked.

I gather from you saying that you upgraded fans, maybe there was a build up of material (dust or what-have-you) on the surfaces of the radiator fins, which might be obstructing airflow.

Did you clean the radiator before you attached the new fans?

I know it is a pain to do, but I would recommend, taking it back apart (if you can look through it without having to take the heat sink/cold plate off the CPU) it would be less work. Look at said fins, maybe blast some air at them/or vacuum (recommend in the direction opposite of fan airflow) to remove any clogged passages.

Then reassemble, and see if that improves anything.

Sorry, for the long reply. I hope it helps.
