I’ve bought my self an external audio card ( behringher uphoria um2) I plugged it in and it working but I’m getting an electcal hissing sounding noise coming through my headphones.I did an audio recording on my pc but with the mic turned off and on the file I can hear the noise. Any ideas on how to fix this . Cheers for any help

Make sure that u have this on ur outlet  ↑                                   and this on ur cable ↑

Everything between the back of your PC and the mains outlet must have at least 3 contacts  :  the middle pins ( live and neutral)  and one or more earthing contacts / pins

The above is the Schuko / Type F outlet with two earth metal things on each side of the live and neutral holes and the plug (which btw is type F/E mix) but there's variations like the Frech Type E which has a pin between the two holes and the plug has a hole (picture to the right is a hybrid  Type E / F plug, has both hole for the french pin AND the side contacts for the Type E earthing :

And italians have some stupid looking connectors (type L) ... but they also have outlets that are hybrid type f / type L
