What I do wonder, is why has she appeared on video already.

By that, I mean how Linus has made it clear over the years that new hires have a probation period of like 3 months normally.

Yet there she was, hosting a whole techlinked by herself ? Is it just because she has already appeared on the channel before for ROG rig reboot?

Probably, yes.

I think one of the reasons employees are put on probation when they first start is so they have the ability to change their mind about working for LMG before the community knows about them; no constant questions about where they are, figuring out early on if they'll be comfortable being on camera, etc. That's why their names aren't even made public in the end credits.

 

Also, I think they publicly announced that she was hired, so a probation period wouldn't accomplish anything, at least based on what's written above.

She'll be on probation still, I'd guess the onscreen difference is due to the position she was hired for, bit hard to be a 'personality' without being shown at all.

Haven't watched ltt in months, so I don't know if they announced it on the wan show or on twitter.
