At the moment there isn't a whole lot of cards in this price range. If it was normal, a used rx 580 or GTX 1650 Super would be the best you could get.

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't actually know anything.

Recommendations: Lian Li 205m (sleek, pretty decent airflow for a non-mesh front panel and cheap), i5-10400f (Ryzen 5 3600 performance, 20% cheaper), Arctic P14 PWM fans, Logitech g305.

I'm just looking for something temporary until I can get a 3080 but not at the current price tag lol

If it's temporary, you want to buy it right now and you don't mind losing a bit of money when reselling it, maybe you can find a used GTX 1050ti or 1060 3GB. Maybe a GTX 970 or something. Anything higher performance and I doubt you'd be able to buy it with your current budget.

For £170 max the best you will do is a 1650 on Ebay. No retailers have any cards above a 1030 for sale new. If you can wait I would but realistically that might be into 2022.

Do you think I should wait and see if I can get the rx 6700xt on release day? Or should I wait for a rtx 3080. First build so abit new to all this.

Realistically you are unlikely to get either card in 2021. Both would be massively better value but if you want to play anything this year and have to GPU then you have to decide if you are willing to pay the crazy prices. I would definitely wait but I value value of money over timeliness.

Found EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SC ULTRA GAMING 4GB for a reasonable price at £188 worth it ?

it's usually cheaper and you could have get a gtx 1650 super, if you really need a gpu right now you can take it but i would still wait for the prices to get down before buying a new GPU now. I think everyone already told you that but if you don't mind wasting your money over value sure, go for it. And about aliexpress, forget it. Most of GPU offers there are scams especially now.

That price is a big oof. But if you're willing to pay shortage prices, then go ahead.

(Although that price for a 1650 can get you a 1660 Super, buuut of course, the shortage.)

It's not that I want to waste my money but people said prices will drop for some time now I've seen plenty of cards but I just don't buy them cause it's just silly but I guess you guys are right I should wait, had my eyes on the rog rtx 3080 white but I don't think I'll be able to find that one..

Does anyone know when they'll stop producing that gpu, I know it's limited edition but haven't found anything for that particular detail info.
