The slot in the photo seems kinda weird, Confirming if it supports m.2 nvme

CrEaToR VR

That is an M.2 M key slot.

What laptop is this? Some laptops have M key slots but only support SATA drives.

This does look like a M.2 slot. Have you tried search for a support document from the laptop manufacturer's webpage to see if it lists what it is exactly??

I found some info that shares between this model and one that has an R on the end.  I can't find anything in regards to any expansion slots in the manual for the motherboard, but my gut feeling is for sure an M.2 slot. Sometimes on the motherboard in the area of the slot, they will print what that is for, i.e. PCIe slot, RAM slot etc.

The specs list only SATA drives, so I wouldn't count on NVMe drives working.

Do you have an NVMe drive already or do you want to buy one for it?
