ok ill try but the tutorial i got it from told me to use it

Do you have a video card you'll be putting into this build? The 3600 has no integrated graphics. If you are going AMD with no GPU, you'd need a SKU that ends in "G", 3200G etc.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Why is the 5800x so hot?

You won't be able to use that system without a video card. Most Intel CPUs and some AMD CPUs (The ones with G at the end of the numbers) have a small "video card called an APU" inside of the CPU.

You could drop the unnecessary Scythe CPU cooler and extra fans, use cheaper RAM and a cheaper motherboard, overpay ~$300 for a card like an RX 580 on ebay, and maybe come in under $850 total

Power supply you have there is pretty bad.

My advice is to wait to build until prices get more reasonable and devote that time to learning more about PC's.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

here's my two cents;

don't worry too much about the warning, as most new b450 boards support ryzen 3000 series out of the box. i chose the h500 instead of the h510 as essentially, it has the same design, just without the type-c port, which either way this motherboard doesn't support. used 1060s cost around $150 on ebay, and if you could find a good deal on one, i highly recommend it.

Um, when was the last time you looked at 1060 prices on ebay?

With that budget, I highly doubt you'd be able to get a decent build with a 3600.

The H510 case has very bad airflow, so switch it to a MetallicGear Neo Air.

Use the stock cooler that comes with the CPU, no point in getting a cooler for a 3600 unless you have the extra money.

For the GPU, don't buy them now, especially not the 1060. Save up and get a RX 5500XT.

For the motherboard, get a ASRock B550 Pro4 instead.

As much as I want to suggest 3600MHz RAM, your budget is constraining it.

I agree with the PSU and SSD.

Summary: Remove cpu cooler, save up and switch the GPU with a RX 5500XT, switch motherboard to ASRock B550 Pro4, save up for 3600MHz RAM.
