How can you keep clock at 2205 with 500w bios? At 1.1v 3090 need at least 600w tdp to not hit power limit.

I don't have liquid temp sensor sadly but I do have a temperature gun. Maybe it will help me see the temp.

 

I decided against it because it's £1700 GPU. CPU is fine since it's not a bare die so should be fine

Yeah, I could run passive if I wanted to since only the CPU is in the loop right now.

The wind is making it very cold in my office, so the D5 Next (it has a fan header to allow it to control the fans based on water temp) shut off the fans and the water is still 19C lol.

But that is only on max, and base on this picture your clock is not stable.

12H in Extreme Heaven 4. Pretty stable, enabled static clock in EVGA Precision also so it stays up there, but GPU clock is supposed to fluctuate that's normal.

Do a run in Heaven 4 1440p max settings and see the GPU scores. I got 4500ish.

If you can flash back then it would not void your warranty. X8 is not enough it should be higher. There is about 5% loss in performance at least.

Yeah, I'm just not sure if I'm comfortable with this. If the card dies with this BIOS I obviously can't flash it back so that would be a problem.

 

Can you guide me on how to flash it however? Exactly what I need to do? If I get brave I might do it.

Normally you should be able to flash vbios using nvflash. If you card is died you need use directly flash the chip use bios flash tool. Like what I show below, you can buy it online it is really cheap.

I won't bother in this case. It's not dangerous in my case but you never know if GPU dies etc so I will just stick to my 500W bios. May not be as fast but I haven't cranked the core click to full yet so it may get better. I'll try to block the clock as well again to see if score goes up.

You can try kp 525w bios, it should be the best one for normal use.

That's just 25W so it's okay. The 500W is not too bad either.

Actually there is a different, my strix can hit power limit on 500w bios not on 525w bios in game.

The payout is so small, it's not worth risking £1700, if the warranty wasn't voided I would've done it.

I found the 1000W bios on techpowerup so just need to find someone who managed to flash theirs successfully so I can get a guide.
