AMD 500 chipset USB issue

Might become more relevant in the future?

Reported issues with AMD motherboards and USB.

It can effect HDD and so on? Not quite sure what's the real issue just making a notice of it.

I've too noticed on my system (5600X + MSI B550 Tomahawk) that my external HDD would constantly keep disconnecting/reconnecting if I connect it to the front panel USB ports. Using the front panel USB 3.0 was completely impossible as it would just disconnect every second or so and while USB 2.0 was slightly better it still wasn't usable. If I connect the HDD via my keyboard (Logitech G513) which is connected to the rear USB ports then it would work fine, though only at USB 2.0 speeds. The problem isn't with the HDD as it works flawlessly on both my old system and on my laptop. I've also disabled all USB power saving features in Windows.
