IPS vs TN

You shouldn't go for 4K when picture quality is not a concern of your's. And if you're going for picture quality, TN doesn't make sense.

 

Basically, yes. Go for IPS when you're looking at 4K monitors.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
