Corsair RGB solution

MrConcrete04

Hello world,

I have recently thought about getting some RGB life into my system and knowing that corsair is among the best out there, thought it would probably best to go down that route. I found the cheapest way to do this would be their refreshed SP iCUE compatible series of fans because they don't look awful and aren't overpriced unlike the LLs. The thing I do not know is whether I need a RGB header on my motherboard for it to work. Would I then also be able to hook up some rgb strips?

Any advice is appreciated,

e.

Take a look at this, https://github.com/Legion2/CorsairLightingProtocol allows you to use any ARGB or RGB fans with corsair software, however it is DIY and can be done very cheap. Great help on the discord https://discord.gg/RUUDdtPB

Technology is NEVER easy :(

I unfortunately don't have the possibility of DIYing much... As far as my research goes I do not need a RGB header, just a USB, which I have. Is the lighting node pro necessary?

Lets say I have 6 fans, 3 120s and 3 140s, and I want to hook them up. Each fan has 2 cables if I'm not mistaken, one PWM and one RGB, the PWM I would hook up a PWM hub and the RGB to the node core which would come in one of the 3 packs, what does the node core connect to?

the 120 and 140 has to be the same fan for it to work.
