realistically even if there isn't space for it you can just chuck it in there and let it be supported by the cables, ssd's are durable

laptop: Dell xps 9510, 3.5k OLED, i7 11800h, rtx 3050 ti, 2x16gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz, 1TB main drive, 2TB add in ssd

If this looks like your laptop, or at least the internals are similar,

 then you have a 2.5 inch sata SSD drive in it along with the m.2 nvme it already comes with. You could easily throw in an ssd of your choice (like mx500) in there.

Attention is what makes life meaningful.
