Black squares appearing in games. Help please!

I don't know what to do about these squares in my games. I have a 980ti and was wondering if it is dying and if I should put it in the oven since I'm going to need it for a while. I would buy a 30 series cards but they are about impossible to get right now. It may not be too noticeable in the photo but what i see is worse.

I don't know what "black squares" you're talking about. These pictures just look like you took an extreme closeup of the game running at 1080p on a display that's really too big for 1080p so you get extreme pixel visibility and screen door effect.

Im running at 1080p. Ill see if i can get a clearer picture

What size is your display?

How close are you to it?

its a HP VH240a and im roughly a foot and a half away from it

Shouldn't be an issue of poor pixel density then, but I don't see anything in the pics that can't be explained by using a poor camera held very close to the screen.

Move back a foot, I don't even sit that close to my 19 inch CRT.

Maybe you can see it in this photo if you its also under the goggles if you cannot see it ill get another camera and ill move back a bit too

Where is that picture from? Maybe I can compare them, but I think it is just the display and you are too close, or maybe the crap graphics, or both.

Open your photos in MS Paint or something and circle what you're talking about. All I see is low-quality photos of low-resolution graphics. Are you sure you're actually running at 1080p in-game? Is any anti-aliasing turned on? I don't see anything that looks like a graphical "anomaly" a failing GPU would produce.

yea its in other games as well. im just going to screenshot the game and zoom in so its clearer

No. Your pics are too zoomed in as it is. Open the screenshot in MS paint or another image editor and draw a red circle around what you're talking about.

Take it at a distance of 2.5 -3 feet, not zoomed in.

By the neck looks normal-ish for a shadow, but is the goggle stuff happening in other games?

SMAA Antialiasing can do that breakup.

Suss the Different AA techniques and compare them, and mess with the 0-100% AA coverage slider if its there (was there in CODMW)

 

I saw that pixelation when messing with SMAA options with little coverage settings.

ya but why Photos, does it not appear in screen shots? 

 

I mean for us in order to determine the issue screen shots are - necessary - because yes that looks weird but could just be the monitor or the camera or both...
