3090 with "bad" performance in Games

DomShift

Hey Guys, I upgraded my PC since i needed it for work and thats obviosly a good thing for gaming too.

Now i ran in some Performance issues with my new 3090. All Graphic Programms work totally fine but the difference in Gaming compared to my old 1070 is barely 10 fps even in low effort games like LoL.

I tryed DDU and nothing changed. GPU has seperate Power Cables to PSU and the Bios setting is on GEN 4.0 for the 16x PCIE slot.

Specs: CPU: R9 5900X at Stock Speed , RAM: 64GB at 3600 GPU: Asus 3090 Strix OC, MoB: Asus X570-E

Hope u have some ideas.

It doesn't look like there's anything wrong looking at your benchmarks.

I assume you already turned off VSync and the exact problem you're experiencing is low FPS with low GPU and low CPU usage?

Atm 1080p cause budget is short for this month

for example Assassins Creed Odysee at Max Settings give me just 100 Frames on Avg. with drops below 20

Yes it is the Problem in Assassins Creed Odysee i ran into 100 Frames on avarage and drops below 20 Frames

While the GPU is usage is at 100 % while the CPU is at chilled 20 or so

odyssey is horribly unoptimized, but if you're playing at 1080p you're going to be CPU bound in almost every game you play. meaning that your cpu will  be doing most of the work, you won't notice a difference between a 1070 and 3090.

thats because odyssey is horribly unoptimized, find another game that isn't so terribly optimized, and check then.

If you have Cyberpunk 2077 I would try with that. You will definitely see a difference in FPS in it if you crank up the settings.

yup that all sounds about right with ultra and RTX, I would advise getting a 1440p or 4k monitor next, you're barely using your 3090, and would get a much better experience at 1440p or 4k
