OKAY. So I live in an rv because me and my wife move every year. I didn’t even think what to do for WiFi in this thing when we made the decision to get it. Usually we were able to use the park WiFi but we now live in a park that doesn’t offer it and it’s super expensive to get. So here is what I did, I got a new one plus with unlimited 4g Ltd data. It works awesome as WiFi for the rv but the problem is it doesn’t reach far and only allows so many users. I wanted to hook up to an external router but have had no luck. I know they make routers that use SIM cards but the problem is T-Mobile blocks those service to those now. I’m looking for a router that I can connect a usb tether to so it charges the phone and broadcasts the signal. Anyone do this?

I have not, are those just the wall plug in things?

Well you have to plug it somewhere, there are the non wall plug model.

I don't know if this will work, if by any chance tmobile disable wifi repeater, then this is not a solution.

What do you mean by T-mobile blocking sim routers? do you mean that they stop offering one or it simply cannot work with any sim router?

You will need to check their compatibility list for devices you can teather. But this router does have the features you need. Coverage range is pretty damn good.

Are you saying to connect the usb to a computer and share the internet with the router? Because I tried that and it doesn’t work

When you put in the SIM card to the router It doesn’t work for some reason.

If that's the case you probably can use it with a repeater. I don't know for sure, probably.

 

From what i read, T-mobile have some home solution (router package).

have you check starlink, i think it's the best for you, you won't be limited with cellular signal especially in rural area.
