VA and TN are other panel types.

The "gaming experience" doesn't matter. They have better viewing angles and color reproduction making them better in general.

You need to quote people or they won't know you responded.

If you are doing surround I can recommend these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009V8F700/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1395512037&sr=8-1

Depends if you want faster refresh rates or less input lag. IPS panels don't really have to deal with the former, but there aren't really many IPS monitors with 120Hz refresh rates - if any. That only matters if you have a powerful enough GPU(s) in order to get above 60 FPS. But TN panels tend to look pretty crap. You have to decide if you want better color reproduction and image quality or superior refresh rates. That said, some Asus and BenQ monitors with TN panels look surprisingly good.

I would just pick all IPS panels. I almost consider TN obsolete.

They make no difference in gaming. 120hz or 144hz monitors do though(TN). If you are strictly gaming, I would say get 120hz or 144hz monitor(if your PC can push 120+ frames). Another option is a Korean Monitor. They are 2560 x 1440 at 96hz.

Also why do you need 3 monitors? I think 2 is enough for a gaming. The only people who need 3 are professionals and enthusiast with money to blow.

So clearly you have no idea about panels. I'm not saying this to be rude or anything i jut think that we will need to explain it to you. So the 2 main panel technologies are

TN: Twisted Numeatics. Higher hz. Meaning more refresh rates up to 144 while IPS can only do 60. Bad colours. Bad vieweing angels. (Colors will look washed out from an angel) For who is it?:  For E-Sports guys that need every last hertz to be competive. Or just don't have the money for IPS.

IPS: Inplane Switch. Great colours. Great viewing angels. Max 60hertz. (you can overclock it tho.) Who: Anybody except for E-Sports folks. Better.

Lastly if i was you i would take a 1440p IPS over 3 1080p IPS ones.

If a simply better looking display that doesn't look crappy mean anything to you, yes--IPS would make your experience better.

Price is going to depend on the panel type, size and resolution for the most part. So in your poll I said yes there is a huge difference, but no on getting 3 of them. That is because in my head I want no less than 24 inches and a resolution no lower than 1920x1200 with an IPS panel. Getting 3 of those is going to be anywhere between 900-1200 USD from what I've seen.

However if you want to game a lower resolution or use maybe a 20-23 inch IPS panel then that may work better for you.

Also what GPU will you be planning on using with this set up @ what resolution?

The funny thing is you won't see a difference unless you have used an ips monitor before, and go back to a TN, then you have a less enjoyable time as you are use to the good colours. If you are gong to do a triple monitor set up, why not get ips's.
