I think you might be thinking of Symless' Synergy (2) software, which allows you to use one mouse on multiple PC's. "Mouse without borders" is an alternative (which I never really got to work, so YMMV).

In this case though, some sort of remote desktop software (Windows RD, Chrome RD, Teamviewer, etc.) might be easier and more appropriate.

Or Barrier for a free alternative.
