RAM Clearance

I am building a PC and wanted to get a nhD15 for my 3700x. I'll be using a Phanteks P400a Digital and a gigabyte aorus elite: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MBDGBM35532A/Gigabyte-B550-AORUS-ELITE-AX-V2-ATX-For-AMD-Ryzen.

 

Would there be any issues using Corsair Vengeance LPX ram(2 x 8GB)?

1. I don't beileve so. You could just raise the fans to clear the ram if you needed to, anyways

2. Why a d15 for a 3700x? You won't really need it- even the stock cooler wouldn't be bad at all- and besides that, It isn't that great of a value. The scythe fuma 2 should be around $60 USD and perform nearly as well- but again, you'd be fine with a stock cooler.

The nhd15s(single fan, slight offset design) keeps my 9700k at 63degc while gaming at 85% CPU load and stock settings of 4.6ghz

 

I doubt you need a full 15 for that ryzen.  Does the 12 fit?  I am really liking the noctua stuff right now.

LPX is normal height. It would fit under most of the coolers easily. I disagree with the two above, 3rd gen R7s are hotter than their predecessors.
