Im trying to build a decent PC

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Medium Gaming (in between light and hardcore)

Other details I have listed parts but seeing if anyone could list better ones

 

 

CASE: AeroCool Split G BK V1

CPU: i5 9400f

GPU: Geforce RTX 2060 Ventus XS

MTB: Z390 PLUS
RAM: 8GB G.SKILL AEGIS 3200MHZ

STORAGE: Crucial BX500 480gb

PSU: Aywun 800W 120mm

MONITOR: hp p224

CPU COOLER: Deepcool Gammaxx L240 V2

 

Total is AU$1193

 

It would be nice if someone could make a list with better parts but cheaper

I think for that setup 800W is a bit overkill. I think a 550-650W is just fine and still has enough room for future upgrades.

especially from not known brand, its not even 80+ rated

be quiet System Power 600w is more affordable and is 80+ bronze (I'm using it)
also I'm using 2x8GB geil evo potenza with 2666mhz clock, I think the clock on ddr4 ram doesn't show much difference in my experience, and bigger ram makes you able to multitask better.

Best value option 1: Ryzen 3600 + cheapest A520 (B450/550 is also possible if same price or cheaper than below)

 

Best value option 2: i5-10400F + cheapest Z490

 

Best value option 3: Ryzen 5600X + cheapest A520 (make sure its BIOS is 5th gen ready)

I agree with Nena Trinity, both CPUs look nice

Ryzen is probably stronger

but either way you can pick the cheapest option. Both CPUs are really good.

 

Also, if you go Intel CPU than you can buy the cheapest RAM that's compatible with the motherboard. (remember to buy the ram as dual kit)

If you go AMD you stay with the high speed RAM, Ryzen CPUs love fast RAM.

The reason I vote Z490 with the Intel is to get a fast kit of RAM for it, it really helps in some games.

32Gb is still overkill for just Gamers thoguh 16Gb is fine and will be for a while.

But if 16Gb is too expensive than at least 8GB but in dual kit.

True but the 2x8 kits are single ranks, it actually gives performance benefit with dual-ranks as they give more bandwith.

For Ryzen 3000 you shoul aim for 3200 to 3600 anything over that require more tweaking.
