I mean, technically yes? I somehow managed to record gameplay with an i3 3120 which required something like 720p30 2500Kbps veryfast. Dropped some frames here and there and was about as easy on the eyes as an abused public bathroom, but it worked.

Yes. A 720p 30fps stream isn't that demanding with a low enough bitrate. It's not going to be gorgeous, but it'll be watchable.

720p 2500 should look absolutely fine, I'm pretty surprised. Do you still have samples?

Does minecraft look any different at 720p and 1080p, and does bitrate have any effect on the quality since minecraft is blocky?

Yes, because ther's a lot of movement in minecraft. You can really crunch the bitrate with a static image and notice very little loss in quality, which is why you could stream Hearthstone in 720p 1000kbps and it'll look great.

Tbh, 720p 2000-2500kbps is going to look fine in minecraft.

You'd be surprised how much the veryfast preset can murder image quality. Unfortunately I don't have any samples left.

why don't you try it? if you already have the game, trying to stream it is actually free, you know?

because I don't have the hardware yet, I have my own system but the i5-2400 system is intended for my little brother

I'd give it a go with OBS and QVS

Intel® HD Graphics 2000

your intergrated gpu seems to have QVS support, I think that's what OBS can use to encode/decode video files so you can stream them.

So you can basically run the game on your cpu + GPU and use the intergrated to handle video encoding for streaming, should be worth a try 😄

Sounds interesting. But pretty much annything can do 720p 2000kbps 30fps. Unfortunately OP won't be able to cut corners since a more economical 540p 1500kbps stream will be forced down to 480p on twitch etc.
