When will the new RTX 3000 series GPUs get cheaper?

don't think anyone knows the specific time and date.

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Depends on what prices you are looking at. Eventually scalper prices will go down as supply improves, but aibs higher msrps are never going to go down. You wont ever find a 3080 for $700 or 3070 for 500. 840 for a 3080 is as cheap as you can hope for until the 4000 series launches, and those will be even more expensive too probably.

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x,  MOBO: ASUS TUF X570 Gaming Pro wifi, CPU cooler: Noctua U12a RAM: Gskill Ripjaws V @3600mhz,  GPU: Asus Tuf RTX OC 3080 PSU: Seasonic Focus GX850 CASE: Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh Storage: 500 GB Inland Premium M.2,  Sandisk Ultra Plus II 256 GB & 120 GB

If anything, GPUs are getting more expensive. Here in Japan 6800 XTs are going for 1100 USD. 3080s for 1300 USD. 3070s around 900 USD. I can’t see a time in 2021 where prices are at ‘normal’ levels to be honest.

I don´t know for sure but from what I have seen I expect the prices to drop around July, at least I hope they do. But there is of course the danger that more people think like that and go buy them around that time wich would make the prices rise. c:
