Hello,

My windows Drive C;  is only 128Gb, and right now after updates and other things, only has 6.66gbs of space available.  My D; Drive with is what i try to install all my stuff onto is 1TB and has about 116Gb available.  I want to get another drive for my C Drive.  Is there an Easy way to transfer everything, including windows over to the new drive and make that my new C drive with out re-installing windows and figuring out that the hell was on the old C drive.  With Kids home and everyting the computer can't be down for long.

Thank you

I use a program called EaseUS Todo Backup for cloning drives, it's pretty simple after you watch their tutorial. All you need to do is clone the drive, then shrink the partition.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Macrium Reflect is a free and pretty easy-to-use tool that allows you to do just that.

That said, you could just right-click your C-drive, select Properties, Disk Cleanup and from there Clean up system files -- that'll free up at least some space.

@Jeff_GMost SSD brands now come with custom or partner software to "migrate" your existing C drive over to your new SSD. A couple examples linked below:

Crucial has their own software and guide:

https://www.crucial.com/support/ssd/ssd-install/ssd-install-steps/part-2-copy

Western Digital uses Acronis partner software:

Several other drive brands also use Acronis.

I have personally helped people migrate their C drive with both the Crucial process and Acronis, and both are quick and easy.

Some simple space savers (if applicable):

Clean out sent mail folder.

Remove attachments from kept mail, if possible.

Consider disabling hibernate if not used.

Tweak the restore points setting to no more than 2-3 restore points of data space.

Uninstall any trialware, and never used programs.

Archive (zip) any user files not accessed in the past 12 months.

Regardless of the drive move or not, they'll help with space issues.
