My Internet disconnects after I launch an online game

Should be just poor quality signal

I have FIXED it now. So basically I uninstalled my network driver then rebooted my PC. This made windows fetch another network driver which was the same network driver. It also gave me another network to connect to which was my network. I went on the second network and not only did it have faster download speeds it fixed my PROBLEM

Yesterday I launched this game called Minecraft Dungeons hoping to play it. But when it was loading the internet just disconnected I went out of Minecraft Dungeons connected to the internet then went back in but the internet disconnected AGAIN. So I restarted my PC then tried again but the problem CONTINUED. I deleted then reinstalled my GPU drivers but that didn't help. I used ip config commands on the command prompt but that didn't help. Does someone have any solution.

Try with an ethernet cable

I can't use an ethernet cable since the wifi router is on the first floor

If the router is on a different floor chances are that your signal is not that good

Yeah but I still got 0-1 ping in most games before the problem occured so I don't think that could be the issue. I could try restarting my router by turning off and turning it back again

You have to find a way to connect with ethernet even temporarily for a few minutes so we know if the issue still occurs or not. If it doesn't then the issue is with the WiFi.

* Ethernet would be a cheap way to test. Otherwise you will need to buy other hardware

* Try Powerline adapter

* Change WiFi antennas to higher db

* Move router closer if possible

* Buy an extra access point so you have better reception

When measuring for a cable include any turns , twists etc it should take. Don't measure it in a straight line.

Also there is flat ethernet that you can slide under doors

So basically I borrowed an ethernet cable from my neighbour because I had to wait a looong time for one to deliver to my house. And turns out it still doesn't work. I'm not sure if this ethernet cable is busted but he says he uses it for his pc and it works fine.

Just a hunch. A gut feeling.

Open an elevated command prompt and run sfc /scannow .

See if it finds any corrupt files.

Do a speedtest with ethernet and wifi and you probably see a difference between the 2 with ethernet being much better.

I would recommend going ethernet as is the cheapest and best thing you can do. Rhe other options are:

* Try Powerline adapter

* Change WiFi antennas to higher db

* Move router closer if possible

* Buy an extra access point so you have better reception
