But wouldnt a game having kernel access at all times even when its closed impact performance or something? I have also heared claims of people having sever performance issues in all games and in the whole pc because of Valorant

Yes. I tried valorant ~a year ago, and I noticed something felt 'off' when using the pc. Startup for example was never ready on login screen, even after uninstalling the client. Eventually reinstalled windows and every problem disappeared.

Solution: Play CSGO on FACEIT 😄

Hello everyone, I know there has been some news that the game Valorant was harmful for your pc since it has kernel access. But im not sure if they fixed the issue or it still a risk? Because i want to play the game but i dont know if its still a risk or not.

It never was dangerous it just has kernel access to identify cheats many other cheats also works in kernel but the valorant anti cheat is just more aggressive and runs on startup if it isn’t on startup you can’t play valorant

I had it on in the tray before no big performance change since it’s actually not doing anything until you open the game, having kernel access is a vulnerability yes but other anti cheats do it same with anti viruses. Also it’s not the game having kernel access it’s the anti cheat

I don't think the devs see this as an issue, it's apparently legal and why would they care what happens with your computer?

So of course it's not "fixed".

I tried and Uninstalled valorant right away. I am a firm believer in the rule of least access. I don't believe a cheat engine needs kernel access to be effective. Sure it makes it harder, but there are still cheats and it just gives them more access into my machine than they have any right to.

More people should just shelf this game and play the many others that are pretty much identical.
