PWM Fan Hub with Different RPM PWM Fans

Hello guys,

 

My motherboard pwm fan curve is by percentage. i have 8 fans that i'd be installing as soon as the other fans arrive. will the fans work even if it has different rpms? i mean if the curve is set to 50%, will all the fans run at 50% rated power?

my fans are:

1 noctua 40mm 1200-5000rpm

1 noctua 60mm 550-3000rpm

4 noctua 120mm 750-3000rpm

1 artic 120mm 600-1800rpm

1 Nzxt 120mm ???-1300rpm (3pin)

all fans are 12v 4pin PWMs (except for the NZXT which i believe would just run at 100%)

 

Reason for the smaller noctuas are to re-direct airflow a certain way.

They will all work and all fans will run at 50% PWM. But they will have big differences in RPM. I've also ran 120, 140 and 200 mm fans all at once from a single hub with a single signal.

NICE! Thanks! But just to clarify.... the big differences you’re referring to will be like 50% of everything... like a hub with 4 fans with different max rpms set at 50% will run like:

Pwm fan1(1500 at 50%) = 750

Pwm fan 2(3000 at 50%) = 1500

Pwm fan 3 (6000 at 50%) = 3000

non pwm fan 4 3pin fan REGARDLESS of setting will be 100%

 

did i understand correctly?
