In game flicker in the distance

In games like Minecraft there is some sort of flicker in the distance. The trees look grainy and flicker when moving the camera. but when I'm close to them its fine. Also there is some weird thing going on where the mountain looks like the edges are moving of some sort. Also the grass is flickering too, mostly everything. This is only when I look far away. This is not the screen darkening issue I had before (ghosting). But its something different. I suspect  it may be because of the matte screen.

Sounds like basic Aliasing.

 

Increase the games AA setting, or downsample using DSR.
