Always turned off.. I don't even notice any difference when Turnign on/Off.. so it kinda seems senseless to spend my FPS to this feature.

Don't use vsync cuz I play all my games fullscreen windowed :P
Actually it does matter somehow but I don't understand. When I play starcraft 2 fullscreen with no vsync I get maddd tearing. When I play fullscreen windowed I get no tearing without vsync.

You DO know it doesn't eat your FPS right? It just limits it to the max FPS your monitor can handle.

No, I turned it off back in the day to get higher frames. I think I should turn it on now though since I get better than 60 fps.

VSync adds input latency which is bad news for most FPS games. How bad it is depends on the engine. Eg. Vsync and Valve's Source engine are a horrible mix. Tearing rarely bothers me.

Nvidia drivers adaptive vsync is the greatest thing ever. My setup will push 60+ fps with most things so i get really bad screen tearing. I also think tearing is the worst thing ever. What is the point of having a beast setup if it tears everygame. I never used vsync till i got my gtx670 but now i cant see me turning it off.

Nvidia drivers adaptive vsync all the benefits of vsync without any of the problems.

It really depends on the game for me. I leave it off by default, but if I notice any screen tearing at all I turn it on. I find that in some games it's better to leave it off, as the framerate can be a bit skippy. Think of it this way, if you're not having screen tearing, then why not let it run at 150 fps (just as an example) and then if you take a 30 fps drop for a second or two then it stays above 60, but if you're at 60 and there's a drop, it goes below 60, which is very noticeable to me. So, as I said, just depends on the game, but I prefer it off most of the time.

Edit: Adaptive vsync is really good as well, but I only have that on for a few select games.

I pretty much always play in fullscreen windowed mode unless I'm playing the game on multiple monitors, most games have vsync disabled when you do fullscreen windowed, so I just don't bother even caring about the setting anymore.
